Therapist

Kiersten Klinger, Therapist, holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Christian College of Kansas and master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University. Prior to joining FRSS, Kiersten worked in the foster care system with individuals and their families who wrestled with drug and alcohol addiction.

She has a deep passion for family systems counseling and is committed to helping first responders and their families navigate the challenges associated with a career in public safety. Her professional training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Insomnia (CBT-I).

Kiersten is embracing a new chapter in her life after relocating to the Tulsa area. She enjoys going on walks with her dog, Millie, indulging in her love for reading, CrossFit, and experimenting in the kitchen with cooking and baking. As her schedule simplifies, she's eager to explore new hobbies and continue her personal and professional growth.

“I have a deep respect for the work and sacrifices of first responders, seeing the toll it takes both professionally and personally. Although they are dedicated to the job, I believe they may still build and maintain healthy, joyful, and fulfilling relationships. Seeking help can be difficult in a profession centered on serving others, but I am dedicated to creating a compassionate and competent environment where first responders, their spouses, and their children may work through challenges with support. Being part of FRSS is an honor, it grants me the opportunity to serve and support both those who serve others and the loved ones who stand beside them.” ~Kiersten
