Barbara Jones, Therapist, holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Chicago State University and a master’s in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University. Prior to joining FRSS she provided addiction and trauma treatment to women facing incarceration in a community mental health setting.
Previously, Barbara worked as an officer in the patrol division of the Chicago Police Department and subsequently in patrol and investigations at the Broken Arrow Police Department. Her combined law enforcement career spanned 12 years. Barbara’s professional training includes Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Insomnia (CBT-I), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level 1, Grief and Loss Counseling and Addiction Group and Individual Counseling. She approaches counseling with a collaborative style and focus on instilling hope for individuals and restoration of valued relationships.
Barbara lives in Broken Arrow and has two adult children. In her free time, she enjoys planning a variety of celebrations with family and friends.
