CRITICAL INCIDENT RESPONSE

Critical Incident Response
We provide consultation to peer support and critical incident response teams, as well as department supervisors and administrators. We are available to the departments we serve during times of crisis and assist them in addressing associated challenges.
The peer support teams we assist may call upon us at any time to support their effective, safe and confidential response. Resolving critical incidents is straight-forward, and the burden of critical incidents may be lifted with the use of EMDR in just a few sessions.

FRSS has created the Northeast Oklahoma Regional Peer Support team, which includes peer support members from multiple agencies that partner to support rural, underserved departments and one another in response to critical incidents and job-related tragedies. This team utilizes the Resilience-based Group Debriefting model first developed by Dana in 2006. This debriefing model supports first responders in identifying and focusing on the capability, strength and resources present during the crisis rather than focusing on the troubling aspects of the event.
